Primeiro dia do novo ano - First Day of the New Year

Depois de curar a ressaca da festa da virada de ano, que tal começar o ano conhecendo um lugar novo. Eu e a Ren decidimos ter nosso primeiro almoço do ano em um lugar diferente, pegamos o ônibus e depois o LRT (um sistema de trem mais simple de Cingapura) e fomos até a estação de Riviera.

After the hangover from the awesome new year eve party, let`s start the year visiting a new place. Ren and I decided to have our first lunch of the year in a different place, we took the bus and the LRT (a simple train system in Singapore) and we went until the Riviera station. 

No caminho até a praça de alimentação, tem um lindo templo budista, mas esta em renovação no momento.

Um local muito agradavél, muito verde, e muitas pessoas praticando atividades fisicas. Não encontramos nenhum ocidental além de mim no local!

A pleasant place, surrounded by green, lot of people jogging and cycling. We did no find many westerns around there, besides me.. 

 

O restaurante mais popular no local é um "Seafood Restaurant" onde você pesca sua própria comida diretamente do rio.

Um almoço tudo de bom, em boa companhia e com uma vista muito agradável. 

Um ótimo inicio de ano.

Depois do almoço fomos caminhar um pouco por Punggol Promenade Nature Walk e Punggol Promenade Riverside Walk. Nós caminhamos em torno de 3km, o ciclo completo é de mais ou menos 17km  podendo ser iniciando por vários locais, e também não é necessário fazer todo o trajeto. Maiores informações no site do NParks 

After lunch we went to walk around Punggol Promenade Nature Walk and Punggol Promenade Riverside Walk. We walked 3km, but the full loop is about 17km, and you can start in different parts, and it is not necessary complete the loop. More informations at NParks. 

É possivel encontrar palhetas de fibra óptica ao longo das margens do rio, que iluminam o caminho a noite. 

You can find some fibre optic reeds along the river bank, that brings light at night.

Esta ponte faz conexão com Pasir Ris, e onde também pode acessar Punggol Waterway Park, ainda não conheço este parque mas já ouvi dizer que vale a visita.

This bridge connects to Pasir Ris, and where you can also access the Punggol Waterway Park, I never being at this park, yet,  but I have heard that it worth the visit.

Por fim chegamos a estação do LRT de Damai bem pertinho ja da estação de Punggol onde pegamos o ônibus de volta para casa.

And finally we reached the Damai LRT station to take the train to the Punggol station and them take the bus to go back home.

O local é repleto por HDB's fico pensando as vezes quem irá morar em todos esses lugares, afinal está tão complicado para estrangeiros virem morar aqui e com as novas regras.
